Schneider Aventinus Beer Review - Inspection #18

Brewing Company: P Weissbierbrauerie G. Schneider & Sohn
Location: Kelheim, Germany
ABV%:  8.2
IBU: ?

Appearance: (4/5)  The body was dark reddish-brown with minimal bubbles.  A one-finger, creamy light brown head that disappeared within a few minutes.

Aroma: (9/10) This had a little bit of everything.  The dominant aroma was banana and wheat.  Also had hints of sweet grape and cloves.  A slight alcohol smell that went well with the grape.

Taste: (9.5/10)  Sweet caramel and banana up front.  Finished off with a spicy flavor.

Overall: (95/100) (A) This is one of my favorite beers.  Everything went well together and will be spending 4 dollars again to get this beer. I highly recommend this one!

Golden Pheasant(Zlaty Bazant) Beer Review - Inspection #17

Brewing Company: Pivovar Zlaty Bazant
Location: Hurbanovo, Slovak Republic
IBU: ?

Appearance:(4/5) A nice clear golden body with a 2 finger head. The beer produced a frothy white colored head which had little retention.

Aroma:(5.5/10) Aroma was faint overall. A hint of sweet malt and grassy notes.

Taste:(7.5/10) A sweet acidic taste in the front which faded away towards the middle. You are later hit with a spicy citrus bitterness that is moderate. Didn't like the mouth feel on this one. It had a watery/creamery feel that didn't go well with this style of beer.

Overall:(82/100) A pretty good pilsener, but it lost some points with me because it lacked a dry/crisp finish.

Dogfish Head Squall IPA Beer Review - Inspection #16

Brewing Company: Dogfish Head Craft Brewery
Location: Milton, Deleware
ABV%: 9%
IBU: ??
Appearance: (3.5/5) Poured a hazy orange color with little head in a big brandy snifter.  The head was light tan that didn't last very long.
Aroma: (8.5/10)  Dominant smell was orange. I also got hints of pine and perfume like aroma.
Taste: (8.5/10) Mild bitterness with a grapefruit bite in the front and middle.  It finished off with a malty caramel taste. There was a lot of other stuff going on in this taste that I couldn't pinpoint.
Overall: 90/100

Southern Tier Mokah Beer Review - Inspection #15

Brewing Company: Southern Tier Brewing Co.
Location: Lakewood, NY
ABV%:  11.2
IBU:   ?
Appearance: (3/5)  Pitch black body with a minimal head in the brandy snifter.  Head color was light brown.
Aroma: (8.5/10) This was a fantastic smelling beer.  Got a lot of dark chocolate and and hints of caramel malts.  For the most part, it smelled like a mocha!
Taste: (8/10)   Bittersweet chocolate in the front.  Mild bitterness in the middle and back end which was complimented with slight malty caramel taste.  Finish had some alcohol present, but wasn't off putting.
Overall: (87/100)  Just a great imperial stout. I wish it had a little more coffee in the taste, but I maybe getting a little picky there...  I don't think you'll be disappointed with this selection.
